Venture Capital & Start-up Support in Malta

Malta continues to strengthen its start-up ecosystem through a range of initiatives designed to improve access to finance and connect innovative businesses with investors.

The Venture Capital Malta (VC-MT) initiative was introduced to encourage venture capital investment in Maltese start-ups by facilitating connections between entrepreneurs and private investors. Building on this initiative, Malta's startup ecosystem has expanded to include additional funding programmes and venture capital initiatives that support high-potential businesses across a range of innovative sectors.

In addition, Malta Enterprise offers the Start-up Finance scheme, providing eligible start-ups with financial support in the form of repayable advances to help fund payroll costs, business assets, specialised services, and the establishment of operations in Malta. The scheme is targeted at innovative small start-up undertakings with viable business concepts and strong growth potential.
